In December 2024, version 1.3 of the platform was deployed online with several new features:
– The option to edit manually distribution maps (created on the platform, uploaded maps, or published maps) was added, including for freshwater species
– The distribution maps make a better use of distribution attributes (keeping all attributes in countries of occurrence extraction and in output maps)
– When using a published Red List distribution map, you can now compare this distribution with recent GBIF records to see if the map needs editing
– The new presence attribute “Expected Additional Range” was added
– The elevation limits and generation length suggested in Step 4-6 are now better explained: a tooltip will open when you hoove over the box with details on how we generated these values
– The AOH analysis provides values of model prevalence and point prevalence (if occurrence records were gathered through step 1b), commonly used to validate AOH maps
